報告人簡介： 張黔博士于2005年9月加入香港科技大學，現任綜合系統與設計學部署理主任，騰訊工程學教授兼計算機科學與工程系講座教授。她還擔任微軟亞洲研究院-香港科大教育部聯合實驗室主任、華為-科大創新實驗室聯席主任、科大數字生活研究中心主任。在此之前，她從 1999 年7月起在微軟亞洲研究院工作，擔任無線和網絡組的研究經理。張博士在國際領先期刊和重要會議上發表了400多篇參考論文。她是50多項國際專利的發明人。她目前的研究興趣包括物聯網（IoT）、智能健康、移動計算和傳感、無線網絡以及網絡安全。

  張黔博士 IEEE 會士（IEEE Fellow）和香港工程科學院院士 (HKAES)。張博士曾獲得麻省理工學院TR100（麻省理工科技評論）世界頂級青年創新者獎。她是何梁何利創新獎、中國青年科技獎、國家自然科學二等獎（第三貢獻人）獲得者。她在多個國際會議上獲得最佳論文獎。

張黔博士于2020 年至 2022 年擔任IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing的主編（Editor-in-Chief）。她目前是 IEEE Infocom 指導委員會成員。

報告摘要：Sensing is an effective means to connect the physical world and digital space. Exploring the intelligent sensing capability has drawn researcher’s great attention. It is quite excited to see in recent years, besides wearable sensing, people have also begun to explore the acoustic, wireless signal, light, and other ambient communication medium’s capability for sensing purpose.

In this talk, I will introduce some of our work related to how to leverage the wearables and the communication medium's sensing capability to enable smart healthcare applications, especially focus on home care scenario.
